Peter Tomsett's international career has spanned a range of technical, operational and senior management roles in the mining industry.
Mr Tomsett spent 20 years with global gold and copper company Placer Dome in a number of senior roles including as president and chief executive until its acquisition in 2006. He has been a director of the Minerals Council of Australia, the World Gold Council, and the International Council for Mining and Metals.
Mr Tomsett also has international board level experience in the resources sector. He was non-executive chair of TSX- and ASX-listed Equinox Minerals until its acquisition in 2011, non-executive chair of TSX- and NASDAQ-listed Silver Standard Resources, and non-executive director of LSE-listed Acacia Mining.
