Terence Paul Weston is a metallurgist with over 30 years of experience as a consultant in the mining industry. He has expertise in gold, copper/gold, nickel/copper/colbalt, iron ore, tungsten, mineral sands, tantalum/tin, lithium and uranium; and specialises in taking a project from exploration, laboratory testwork (design of test program and review), process design and construction to operation/production.
Mr Weston joined Peko-Wallsend (later North Mining) after graduation, working as a production metallurgist at its gold/copper operation at Mt Morgan, Queensland. In 1976 he transferred to the Scheelite mine on King Island where he held the role of deputy manager and metallurgical superintendent. In 1989. He also oversaw its gold operations in Western Australia and assisted in the design and construction of the Kanowna Belle gold mine. After twenty years working for North Mining, he ventured out as an independent metallurgical consultant where he spent thirty years consulting to mining companies including Harmony Gold Australia, Harmony Gold PNG Services, Newcrest Mining, Athena Resources, Savannah Nickel Mines, Gold Road Resources and Doray Minerals.
Mr Weston holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Metallurgy) from the University of Melbourne.
