Paul Payne

Paul Payne, principal of PayneGeo, has over 30 years of experience within the mining industry including over ten years of independent consulting across a range of commodities and jurisdictions ranging from high level reviews to development of exploration strategy and participation in definitive feasibility studies.

His exploration experience includes the implementation and management of gold exploration for Dacian Gold in Western Australia and Rift Valley Resources in Tanzania. Both projects had substantial discoveries under his management. Mr Payne has formal qualifications in geology as well as post-graduate qualifications in geostatistics and mineral economics. Mr Payne had held corporate roles including as technical director and managing director of ASX listed companies, as founding managing director of Dacian Gold and taking the company through a successful IPO and making the major initial gold discoveries at the Mount Morgans project.
