Dr Nora Scheinkestel is a director of Telstra Corporation, Orica and Macquarie Atlas Roads (which she chairs) and its stapled entity, Macquarie Atlas Roads International. She served as a director and chair of various utilities and a number of major companies.

Dr Scheinkestel is also an Associate Professor at the Melbourne Business School at Melbourne University, and a member of the Takeovers Panel.

In 2003, she was awarded a Centenary Medal for services to Australian society in business leadership.
