Conference market open for business
Perth’s conference market has been a beneficiary of the mining slowdown and increasing infrastructure spend.
Nigel Keen is the state manager of leisure, sport, entertainment and food services, business & industry, and education WA at the Spotless Group. He leads an executive team across all business activities and maintained stakeholder relationships with industry and state government agencies. Previously, as director of operations at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre (PCEC) for two years, he oversaw several departments that handled more than 500 events annually and were attended by over 600,000 people. His areas of responsibility included operations, catering, retail, building services and maintenance, venue security and cleaning services. Prior to that, Mr Keen was the executive chef at PCEC and had been an executive chef in WA for over 10 years.
