Neville Owen AO was a senior judge of the Court of Appeal of the Supreme Court of Western Australia. He was a barrister and solicitor from 1972 to 1991, and a partner of Clayton Utz.
His practice was broadly based in commercial law and was closely involved with matters relating to corporate structures, insolvency, trusts and equity, commercial litigation and media law.
In 1991, Justice Owen was appointed to the Supreme Court of Western Australia, and retired in 2010 after 19 years of service.
He was the inaugural Chancellor of The University of Notre Dame Australia from 1989 to 2008.
In 2019, Justice Owen was awarded an Officer of the Order of Australia for distinguished service to the law, to the judiciary, to legal education, and to the community of Western Australia.
