Michael Nossal is a senior mining executive with almost 35 years of resource industry experience in Australia and internationally, and has worked extensively in the gold, base metals and industrial minerals in business development, exploration, project development and operations with En+ Group, Macquarie Bank, WMC Resources, Normandy Mining and Kenmare Resources. He has particular experience in strategy and business development internationally, and has led significant growth initiatives at Newcrest and MMG.
Mr Nossal was the chief development officer of Newcrest Mining from July 2015 to March 2020 where he was responsible for the growth and development activities including its global exploration program and a growing portfolio of strategic partnerships, farm-in arrangements and investments across Asia Pacific, West Africa and the Americas. Prior to that, he spent over 5 years as the executive general manager of business development at MMG.
