Margaret Allen

Margaret Allen had a 40-year career in libraries. She retired as chief executive and state librarian at the State Library of Western Australia in March 2022, after 17 years of service.

Ms Allen was awarded a Fellow of the Australian Library and Information Association in 2014 for services to the profession, an Australian Public Service Medal in 2018 for outstanding public services to the library sector in Western Australia, and the HCL Anderson Award in 2022 which is the highest honour from the Australian Library and Information Association.
