Macmahon settlement brings in $19m
Macmahon Holdings has received a $19 million settlement almost two years after its shaft sinking project at Glencore’s CSA copper mine in New South Wales was terminated.
Jim Walker has over 40 years of experience in the resources sector including as managing director of WesTrac, where he led the company’s rapid development in industrial and mining services locally and in China. Prior to that, he held various roles with other Australian Caterpillar dealers.
Mr Walker is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Australian Institute of Management WA, holding the position of President WA (2008-2010) and National President, Australia (2010-2013).
Mr Walker's long focus on apprentices and training was recognised when he was awarded the GJ Stokes Memorial Award at Diggers & Dealers in August 2014.
