Dr Jagadish Krishnan has been a general practitioner for over 14 years and owns over 10 practices in Perth.
Dr Krishnan became a Labor Party Member for the Western Australia Legislative Assembly of Riverton in 2021.
In the 2022 cabinet reshuffle, he became the parliamentary secretary to Sue Ellery, the Minister for Finance; Commerce; Women's Interests under the McGowan government. Following the resignation of Mr McGowan in June 2023, Mr Krishnan kept the same portfolio as Parliamentary Secretary to Sue Ellery under the Cook government. In a cabinet reshuffle in December 2023, he took on the additional role as Parliamentary Secretary to Roger Cook (Premier; Minister for State and Industry Development, Jobs and Trade, Public Sector Management, Federal-State Relations).
