A NEW joint venture involving indigenous people in the State’s construction, engineering and mine contracting industries will be launched in Perth today (July 5) by Senator Ian Campbell.
Ian Campbell had a distinguished 17-year career as a Senator for Western Australia in the Australian Federal Parliament, during which he served in the federal Cabinet with the portfolios of Environment and Heritage and Human Services.
Prior to entering parliament, Mr Campbell was a commercial and industrial property consultant. Since quitting parliament he has developed a career as a non-executive director, joining a number of ASX-listed companies and charities including the international advisory board of environmental activist group Sea Shepherd in 2008. He has also been involved in private business.
