Doric chief resigns
Doric chief executive officer Peter Iancov has resigned after five years in the lead role, continuing until mid-October to ensure a smooth transition.
Founder and chair Harry Xydas AM began Doric in 1989. Under his leadership Doric has had significant growth to become a major force in the construction industry. A strong advocate of values, excellence and customer service led Doric to be widely recognised for these attributes.
Mr Xydas has a Master of Science in Construction Management and Economics, and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Australian Institute of Building.
Mr Xydas is the recipient of many awards including a Special Recognition Award from the Governor General for his contribution to the community and business in 2004. In 2023, he was awarded a Member of the Order of Australia for significant service to the building and construction industry.
