ASX-listed Conico has notched up a second successive round of sulphide hits as its drilling campaign motors on at the Ryberg project in Greenland. Downhole intervals of 45 metres, 32m and 27.8m of copper sulphide mineralisation have been encountered. The company believes the mineralised system is likely to be ‘fertile’ at depth and is steaming ahead with further drilling and regional geophysics.

After a major metal discovery only 200m from its fence line, junior explorer Conico will embark on a 5000m diamond and RC drilling program at the company’s Mt Thirsty project in search of platinum group metals and lithium. With all relevant approvals in order and target generation nearing completion, the maiden program, 16km north-north-west of Norseman in WA, is set to kick off early next month.

Conico is set to spin the rods this week on a 5800m drilling probe at its Mt Thirsty multi-metal project as it seeks to extend Galileo Mining’s major discovery at Callisto that sits only 200m from its fence line. Conico is keen to test the underexplored mineralised horizon on its patch of dirt that has recently delivered a slew of head turning results for its neighbour, only 16km from Norseman in Western Australia.

The share price of mineral explorer Conico spiked 31 per cent during intraday trading this afternoon on the back of news of a 65m intercept of disseminated sulphides at its Mt Thirsty joint venture just 400m south of ASX-listed Galileo Mining’s recent Callisto discovery near Norseman in WA. With the assays expected within six weeks, there is a sense Conico and JV partner Greenstone Resources could have bagged an attractive extension.

Multi-metal explorer Conico has detected copper sulphide mineralisation at a number of prospects explored as part of a recently completed diamond drill campaign at its Ryberg project in Greenland. The 11-hole program was targeting copper, nickel, gold and platinum group elements at the company’s Sortekap, Miki, Cascata and Pyramid prospects that were identified from previous field campaign data.

Conico has logged zinc, lead and copper sulphides from a 10-hole diamond drill campaign at its Mestersvig project in Greenland consistent with the historic Blyklippen zinc-lead mine at the site. Eight of the 10 holes completed intercepted disseminated, heavily disseminated or matrix sulphides during the program that was testing for extensions to the known mineralised vein system identified at the Blyklippen and Sortebjerg prospects about 13km along strike from one another.

Multi-metals explorer Conico has confirmed anomalous levels of copper, nickel, gold and platinum group elements at its Ryberg project in Greenland after receiving assays from its latest drill campaign. A total of 11 diamond drill holes were completed across four prospects during the Greenland field season, targeting a host of elements at the company’s Sortekap, Miki, Cascata and Pyramid prospects.

Assay results received by Greenland-focused Conico Limited from its 100 per cent owned Mestersvig project have confirmed the quartz veins in the Blyklippen-Sortebjerg, Holberg, and Nuldal faults all host high-grade lead, zinc and silver mineralisation. The results are from a 10-hole diamond drill campaign that targeted vein-hosted zinc-lead-copper-silver mineralisation adjacent to the Blyklippen Mine and 20 rock chip samples taken during 2022 fieldwork.

Conico’s 50:50 joint venture with Greenstone Resources at the Mt Thirsty project in WA is proving a successful collaboration with the recent Phase 1 drill campaign returning the sixth best cobalt intercept in Australia for 2022 that included previously unreported scandium. Drilling has revealed three discrete mineralised zones; an upper nickel-cobalt-manganese-scandium horizon, a middle platinum group enriched horizon and a lower nickel horizon.

Conico is set to feed more thick high-grade nickel-cobalt-manganese-scandium hits into an imminent updated mineral resource estimate on its Mt Thirsty nickel-cobalt project near Norseman. Recent drilling has pulled up a clutch of significant hits including 10m running at 0.09 per cent cobalt, 0.71 per cent nickel, 0.38 per cent manganese and 23 grams per tonne scandium.

Conico Limited has revealed a 146 per cent mineral resource jump at its Mt Thirsty nickel-cobalt project near Norseman, surging to 66.2 million tonnes at 0.06 per cent cobalt, 0.43 per cent and 0.45 per cent manganese. The company says its deposit hosts the second-highest cobalt-nickel ratio for similar predevelopment projects in Australia and is uniquely positioned to potentially produce precursor cathode active material.

Conico Limited has revealed more shallow high-grade nickel-cobalt-manganese-scandium results from its Mt Thirsty JV near Norseman. Results include 29m grading 0.09 per cent cobalt, 0.62 per cent nickel, 0.73 per cent manganese and 33.2g/t scandium from surface. The resource is 66.2 million tonnes grading 0.06 per cent cobalt, 0.43 per cent nickel and 0.45 per cent manganese, with the project’s scoping study due in July.
