Western Power cuts 215 jobs
Western Power advised its staff yesterday that an estimated 215 roles are no longer needed as the utility continues a three-year program that has already cut more than 300 jobs.
Guy Chalkley commenced at Western Power in December 2011, as operations commercial manager. He was later appointed head of business planning and reporting, chief financial officer in February 2015 and chief executive in Mach 2016. Prior roles include chief financial officer of an Australian sugar refinery, finance and regulation director of Veolia Water Central in the UK, finance director of a waste water company at Thames Water, and chief financial officer for a Mexican commodity distribution company. Mr Chalkley is a Leadership WA 2013 Alumni, graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Western Power advised its staff yesterday that an estimated 215 roles are no longer needed as the utility continues a three-year program that has already cut more than 300 jobs.
