After failing to hit target depth at all three maiden drill holes at its alluring Chile Gold project due to technical failures, Perth based ASX listed explorer Emu N.L has received a temporary setback and has remobilised a new drilling contractor at the project. Emu is about to test their intriguing theory of a large gold system sitting under a geological "steam cap" in a region that is rich with world class players.

ASX listed EMU N.L now has three drill rigs working at its Chilean gold project where good recent weather and smooth operations has sparked hope for the imminent release of a flood of assays. The Perth-based explorer is committed to making up for lost time and completing at least 6000m of drilling before the southern hemisphere winter rolls in.

Emu NL says it might be on the cusp of an exciting gold-silver discovery at the Vidalita project, within the strongly mineralised Maricunga belt in Chile. The company has completed a drill campaign that identified wide intervals of rock types, textures and alterations that could represent the top of a high value, epithermal gold system. Visible sulphides were intersected beneath anomalous surface sampling.

Emu NL has announced the discovery of a new gold target at its Jotahues project, within the strongly mineralised Maricunga precious metal belt in Chile. A recent soil geochemical sampling program at the Peon 4 prospect showed a 600m wide and 1.2km long anomalous zone of coincident gold, silver, copper, mercury and lead assays, which can be typical fingerprints for an epithermal gold system.

Precious metals explorer Emu NL has outlined its proposed program for the upcoming field season at the Vidalita project in northern Chile. The company will undertake a comprehensive campaign of shallow aircore drilling at its Vidalita, Peon 4, Vidalota D and Jotahues areas and will target higher grade gold and silver mineralisation with diamond drilling at the main Vidalita project. Field teams will be on-site in early November.

Precious metals explorer Emu NL has commenced its exploratory field program at the Vidalita project in northern Chile with a comprehensive campaign of shallow aircore drilling planned for its Peon 4, Vidalota D and Jotahues areas. The campaign will also target higher grade gold mineralisation at its main Vidalita project, vectoring towards a prospective fault zone it has interpreted from existing drilling data.
