Graham Kerr first joined the BHP Billiton Group in 1994 as a graduate and held various positions including president of the Diamonds and Specialty Products before his appointment as group executive and chief financial officer of BHP Billiton from 2011 to 2014.
Mr Kerr was appointed chief executive of South32 in October 2014 and is responsible for running all facets of the business. Mr Kerr successfully led the establishment of the company and its public listing in three countries in May 2015. In March 2021, he took out one of the top prizes at ECU's distinguished alumni event for work advocating on behalf of women in the workplace.
Mr Kerr has a Business degree from Edith Cowan University and studied at Deakin University to become a Certified Practicing Accountant.
