Giulia Savio is an independent consultant to the resources sector. She has over 10 years of experience working in complex organisations, operating in challenging environments across Australia and in Papua New Guinea, as a senior leader specialising in relationship & stakeholder management and culture.
Ms Savio was the principal of diversity and Inclusion at Newcrest Mining from 2018 until 2020. She launched Newcrest’s first Diversity and Inclusion Strategy; their first Indigenous Relation’s Policy; and expanded the company’s approach to engage LGBTIQA+ community, and greater cultural & religious diversity.
Ms Savio holds a Masters of Business Administration from the Australian Institute of Business, a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Media & Communication and Public Relations from Deakin University.
