Geoffrey Newman has over 25 years of experience in finance, marketing and general management roles in organisations either directly involved in the resources sector, or providing services and products to businesses in that sector.
In 1995, after managing Bunnings Pulpwood operations for a number of years, he joined Coogee Chemicals as commercial manager and was appointed to the board as finance director the following year. Until August 2005, he was finance director, chief financial officer and company secretary of Coogee Chemicals and its oil and gas subsidiary Coogee Resources before his retirement from the Coogee group of companies at the end of June 2006.
