Gemma Tually has been with Fortescue Metals Group since March 2010, initially as senior legal counsel before becoming legal manager of shipping & marketing in July 2017, group legal manager in May 2020, and general counsel in February 2022. She was also a joint company secretary from September 2022 to November 2023.
Prior to Fortescue, Ms Tually worked for a large law firm for seven years where she practised in the areas of shipping and maritime law, international trade law and dispute resolution.
Ms Tually received her Law degree from the University of Western Australia, and Masters degrees from the University of Queensland and New York University.
