Doug Thompson

Doug Thompson is a councillor at the City of Fremantle and chair of Resource Recovery Group (formerly the South Metropolitan Regional Council). He is the longest continuously serving councillor in the City of Fremantle’s history since being elected in 1988.

Mr Thompson has been instrumental in adopting best practice waste minimisation at the City of Fremantle. He believes that working collectively towards environmentally responsible waste solutions is one of the most important challenges facing local government today.
