Deidre Willmott was the chief executive of the Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Western Australia (CCI). Prior to that, she held a number of senior roles in industry and government including as Chief of Staff to two Western Australian Premiers Richard Court and Colin Barnett, general manager of the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games Organising Committee, and director of external relations at Fortescue Metals Group. She was also an endorsed Liberal candidate for the seat of Cottesloe, but stepped down in 2008 after Mr Barnett reversed his retirement plans and won back the Liberal Party leadership. Other recent roles include councillor of Committee for Economic Development of Australia, chair of St Hilda's Anglican School For Girls, and member of The Perth Diocesan Trustee. Ms Willmott also has extensive experience in charitable board roles.
