David Scaife has been the Labor Party Member of the Western Australia Legislative Assembly for Cockburn since 2021.
In December 2023, Mr Scaife became the Parliamentary Secretary to John Carey (Minister for Planning, Lands, Housing, Homelessness).
Mr Scaife was admitted to the High Court of Australia and the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2014. He has been an employment lawyer for over a decade, representing workers in all areas of employment law including underpayments of wages, adverse action, discrimination and unfair dismissal. He regularly acts for employees in adverse action claims in the Federal Court.
