Daniel Sweeney is the founding director of SMS Mining Services. He has four decades of experience working in the civil and mining sectors, with extensive experience in mechanical, marine, civil and mining engineering and maintenance. Mr Sweeney started the business as Sweeney’s Mechanical Services in 1998 before transforming it to SMS Mining Services in 2018. He has been integral in building the company and setting the standard around safety, quality and service. Mr Sweeney has practical grassroots experience, having held various repairs and maintenance positions across a number of West Australian mining projects and across a diverse range of commodities. He also holds qualifications as a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic and Industrial Machinist.
