Global trends change mix for WA LNG
Changing global markets and local community pressures are crimping the growth prospects for big gas projects but the industry is still in a boom.
Colin Beckett AO has a Masters degree in Engineering from the University of Cambridge, along with more than 35 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas industry.
Mr Beckett has worked with many internationally recognised organisations within this industry, including spending 20 years with BP. He also spent 12 years with Chevron in Perth, including as general manager responsible for the development of the Gorgon LNG and domestic gas project.
Mr Beckett was a former Chancellor of Curtin University.
In 2020, he was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia for distinguished services to business in the energy, gas and oil production and infrastructure sectors, and to tertiary education.
