Regional operators win big at tourism awards
Busselton Jetty and Sandalford Wines made big showings at the 47th WA Tourism Awards, picking up several gold awards and distinctions between them.
Catrin Allsop has more than 15 years of experience in the tourism industry. She is the chief executive of Australia’s South West, one of the State’s Regional Tourism Organisations. Ms Allsop has strong leadership, proven strategic implementation and effective stakeholder engagement skills. Her industry representation includes being committee member of WA Branch of the Australian Tourism Export Council; previous board member of Australia’s South West; involvement in key industry project areas such as aviation, cruise and film; as well as various collaborations with industry stakeholders in developing Memorandums of Understanding to increase cooperation and reduce duplication in destination marketing. Previously, Ms Allsop was a sales and marketing manager at Abbey Beach Resort and also ran her own small business. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in International Management and Business Administration.
