Brian Millar specialises in resolving claims and disputes on major projects in the construction, infrastructure, energy and resources sectors. He practises as an independent barrister and arbitrator. Prior to joining Francis Burt Chambers, Mr Millar was a partner in the litigation and projects departments of Allens Linklaters. He spent over 20 years advising principals/owners, government entities, developers, contractors, engineers, architects and insurers on major projects within Australia and South-East Asia. He has acted for Chevron, Rio Tinto, QIC, PetroVietnam, Samsung, Monadelphous, JKC, Transport for NSW, and the WA Public Transport Authority. Mr Millar is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and has also acted in international and domestic arbitration proceedings as counsel, tribunal member and tribunal secretary within Australia and South-East Asia. He is an executive board member of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (Region 3).
