Mr Lane has been involved in business, government (defence), not-for-profit and agrifood sectors, with a particular interest in supporting and promoting boutique and emerging regional producers looking to develop or expand direct-to-market solutions. In 2016, Mr Lane was presented with the Prince of Wales Award from the Australian Defence Force.
