Brant Hinze

Brant Hinze is a mining engineer with a career spanning more than 30 years. He worked in all facets of the mining business from small start-ups to some of North America’s largest mining companies, in remote operations and on foreign assignments in South America and Southeast Asia. Mr Hinze was president and chief operating officer of Kinross Gold Corporation from 2010 to 2014. He also worked for Newmont Mining Corporation from 2001 to 2010. Prior to 2001, Mr Hinze worked for Battle Mountain Gold until its merger with Newmont in 2001. He was senior vice president for North American Operations, general manager of the Minera Yanacocha SRL in Peru, and also held other senior management positions in Southeast Asia.
