Andrew Worland is a qualified chartered company secretary and mining executive with over 25 years of corporate and finance, project financing, product marketing experience in development and operations stage mining companies dealing in a wide range of precious and base metal commodities.
Mr Worland has been the managing director and chief executive of International Graphite since January 2023, having been a non-executive director of the company since May 2019. Prior to that, he was the chief executive, president & managing director of LeadFx since October 2017, and had held a variety of senior positions including as general manager and company secretary of ASX-listed Toro Energy; chief financial officer, company secretary and general manager of commercial and marketing for Moly Mines from 2004 to 2012, assisted in the listing of the company on the TSX, equity and debt financings of over $900M and secured a strategic private investor for the development of a molybdenum mine. He also assisted the development of an iron ore mine and set up an iron ore sales department for the trade of the company’s direct shipping hematite. Mr Worland had also worked for a startup gold producer that was subsequently bought out in the nickel laterite industry for Anaconda Nickel (subsequently Minara Resources).
He has a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Finance and Marketing from the University of Western Australia, and is a Fellow of the Governance Institute of Australia.
