Lomas named PwC chief economist
Accounting giant PwC Australia has appointed Perth partner Amy Lomas as its new chief economist.
Amy Lomas has a deep understanding of the Western Australian economy and its mineral and petroleum sectors, accumulated over 17 years as an economist in various consulting and public sector roles.
Prior to joining PwC in June 2018, where she has been a partner in its integrated infrastructure practice since January 2022, Ms Lomas was executive director of strategic policy at the former Western Australian Department of State Development (now the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation) and spent over ten years at the Western Australian Department of Treasury including as director of economic and revenue forecasting and advisor to former Treasurer, the Hon. Eric Ripper MLA.
Ms Lomas is vice chair of Treetops Montessori and International Baccalaureate School, and a member of the Economic Society of Australia.
She holds a Bachelor of Economics with Honours from Murdoch University.
