Rox Resources will start poking holes in its exciting looking portfolio of WA-based gold projects in the northeastern Goldfields next quarter with a view to proving up new mineral resources in the under-explored region. The company already holds 89,000 resource ounces at its Mt Fisher project and confidently expects to grow this with a full revision of historical data and a focussed work program.

Rox Resources has completed due diligence of an expansive drilling database from the Youanmi gold project in the Murchison region of WA and confirmed a 1.2 million ounce gold mineral resource estimate for the mine area. The company last week entered into a deal with Venus Metals under which it has the right to acquire a majority position in the Youanmi gold mine.

Rox Resources has commenced an 8,000 metre drilling campaign aimed at extending the defined mineral resources and testing new regional greenfields exploration targets at its Mt Fisher gold project near Wiluna, WA. The area holds a mineral resource of 1.025 million tonnes grading 2.7g/t for just over 89,000 ounces of gold and the drilling will target geological structures potentially hosting higher-grade primary gold mineralisation at depth.

Rox Resources has hit the ground running at its Mt Fisher gold project near Wiluna, WA, with encouraging new assay results returned from drilling at the Dam, Dirks and Damsel South prospects. The company believes that the potential for uncovering large gold zones at the project is high despite deep weathering that obscures the basement rocks and geological structures, which has resulted in sparse drilling below the oxidised profile.

Rox Resources and Venus Metals have commenced a 14,000 metre reverse circulation drilling program aimed at newly developed high-grade targets and extensions to known mineralisation at their Youanmi gold project. The Commonwealth prospect, where historical drilling posted a top intersection of 18m @ 12.9g/t gold from 39m down-hole, crowns the joint venture’s hit list.

Rox Resources has signed a binding term sheet to earn up to a 75% interest in Cullen Resources’ Mt Eureka tenements that host extensions of the company’s existing Fisher East nickel deposits. Rox can earn a 51% stake in Mt Eureka by spending $1m on exploration within three years and the remaining 24% by spending an additional $1m on exploration over a further three-year period.

Rox Resources and Venus Metals have delivered high-grade drilling intersections from several regional and near-mine prospects at their emerging Youanmi gold project in the Murchison region of WA. The companies generated intercepts of 2m @ 23.67g/t gold from 76m and 4m @ 6.57g/t from 64m at the Commonwealth prospect and also discovered 8m @ 4.17g/t gold from 96m at Youanmi South.

Rox Resources and Venus Metals have hit the highest gold grades seen to date at the Youanmi South prospect near Youanmi in Western Australia, with drilling returning a solid peak intersection of 12m @ 12.7 g/t gold from 80m down-hole. The companies have also been targeting the Plant Zone prospect, which is a potential bulk mining, open-pittable ore source, with gold mineralisation occurring right from the surface.

Rox Resources and Venus Metals’ Youanmi South prospect in Western Australia doesn’t look like being closed off anytime soon with more high-grade gold results continuing to roll off the drill bit, including 4m at 11.23g/t gold from 92m. Other solid numbers at the Plant Zone prospect, including 8m grading 2.62g/t gold from 60m, continue to underline the porospectivity of the project.

It’s raining gold for Rox Resources and Venus Metals at their Youanmi South project after the partners made a spectacular 14m drill intersection going an ounce to the tonne gold from just 1m deep. The new drill hit also included 5m grading 77.03g/t gold and 3m grading an exceptional 123.66g/t gold. Youanmi has been the gift that keeps on giving this year for multiple parties.

The Grace prospect is holding up as potentially a stand-alone discovery for JV partners, Rox Resources and Venus Metals, with assay results hot off the press of 8m going 37.25g/t, including a 4m zone grading 73.81g/t gold from 48m. Rox and Venus recently identified Grace at their Youanmi South project in the Goldfields, a prospect that literally sits right between the historically mined Youanmi pit and the mothballed mill.
