Alastair Bacon has over 30 years of experience in technical, project management and business development in the automotive and consulting industries across Europe and the Asia Pacific region. Prior to Orbital, Mr Bacon was program director at Chery Jaguar Land Rover in Shanghai, China. He has also worked in senior management positions at Ricardo, Prodrive Automotive Technology, and Lotus Engineering. His experience includes leading multi-cultural, multi-disciplinary teams and business units, operating with full profit and loss responsibility, as well as driving major new product development and simultaneous engineering projects. Mr Bacon holds a PhD in Spark Ignition Engine Diagnostics from Nottingham University, and a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Nottingham.
