TFS signs deal for sandalwood
TFS Corporation has signed a deal with private forestry company WA Sandalwood Plantations to establish a plantation project for Australian sandalwood.
WA Sandalwood Plantations is a Western Australian company dedicated to establishing and managing commercial plantations of Western Australian sandalwood (Santalum spicatum) on behalf of institutional, corporate and private investors. Founded in 2001, the company now manages over 19 million trees grown on 13,000 hectares across the central wheatbelt of Western Australia. Its primary focus is the production of sustainable sandalwood timber, sandalwood oil and sandalwood nut oil for both the traditional (essential oils, incense, religious, ceremonial & fragrance) and emerging (pharmaceutical, cosmetic & nutraceutical) markets globally.
