Upstart (formerly Amcom Upstart) provides a number of teams with funding, intensive mentorship in a three-month program to launch and accelerate their startup. It kicks in $40,000 cash in return for an 8% equity stake in the company.
The program was launched in 2015 through a collaboration with Amcom, e-business association eGroup WA and technology hub Spacecubed. It became Vocus Upstart when Vocus Communications acquired Amcom Telecommunications in late 2015.
