The Hospital Research Foundation Group Western Australia (previously Spinnaker Health Research Foundation) is an independent charitable trust. The Foundation receives no direct government funding, relying upon the generosity of the local community and businesses and its own fundraising endeavours. The Foundation supports three funds including: Fremantle Hospital Health Research Fund, Fiona Stanley Hospital Health Research Fund, Southern Health Research Fund.
Former-Spinnaker merged with its South Australian partner in October 2023 after both boards voted in support of the move and the transition to become one unified brand under the name The Hospital Research Foundation Group was announced in August 2024.
