Perth Wildcats in potential sale
Sydney-based Sports Entertainment Group has confirmed its plans to purchase the Perth Wildcats from Jack Bendat, who has owned the basketball team since 2007.
Sports Entertainment Group (formerly Pacific Star Network) is a sports media content and entertainment business, which through its other complementary business units, deliver brand stories to national, metropolitan and regional audiences with unique and exclusive content via multiple platforms including radio, print, television, online, in-stadium and events.
Sports Entertainment Group operates three broad business divisions: Broadcasting, Publishing and Complementary Services.
In Western Australia, Sports Entertainment Group owns a number of radio channels including 621AM Spirit Bunbury (rebranded SEN Spirit) and launched SEN Stadium – a live commentary listening service for sports matches played at Optus Stadium.
The company changed its name from Pacific Star Network to Sports Entertainment Group in November 2020.
