Fire company cops $500,000 fine

A company that unlawfully imported hydrofluorocarbon products into Western Australia has been hit with the largest fine ever issued under Australia’s ozone protection laws.
Pon Group, one of the largest family-run businesses in the Netherlands, is a diversified group with activities ranging from car distribution, earthmoving equipment distribution and servicing, bicycle manufacturing, engine distribution and repair, to valve distribution and repair.
In 2013, Pon Group acquired Callidus Group which has been providing valve management services to the oil & gas and mining industries since 1997.
