Kwoorabup Nature School (formerly Spirit of Play Community School) offers a fresh approach to kindergarten and primary school education in Denmark, Western Australia.
It offers creative exploration with regular walk-about sessions providing children with age-appropriate outdoor extension activities from pre-primary onwards. Children walk and bike ride regularly, swim occasionally, climb often, and music is interwoven into each day. Kids learn through music, song, play, and sharing language, culture and ideas.
It teaches good custodianship of the environment and respect for our elders, our ancestry and the original custodians of our land through a sense of playfulness, discovery and joy.
The school changed its name from Spirit of Play Community School to Kwoorabup Nature School in December 2021.
