JSW Drilling specialises in the provision of drill and blast, resource definition and grade control drilling. Headquartered in Bibra Lake, the company has operations across Western Australia.
JSW is also an independently audited Registered Training Organisation (25203) and provides structured career development pathways to staff through a dedicated Perth training facility.
JSW Drilling was formed in March 2010 through a management buy-out from Ausdrill-Brandrill of the original Strange Drilling business which was established in 1996. In October 2013 JSW Australia merged with the public listed Hughes Drilling to become part of the "Hughes Group" of companies which included Hughes Drilling, JSW Australia, Reichdrill & Express Hydraulics Australia. In September 2016 Hughes went into administration, and in December 2016 Allegro Funds acquired JSW for an unknown price.
