Hiddlestone Electrics is a third-generation family business that has been operating since 1920.The Subiaco-based business provides services to household, office and industrial customers.
The business was established by Howard Hiddlestone and his younger brothers, Cec and Bert, joined the company in 1924. Cec’s son Vern entered the business in 1956 and ran it until he passed away in 2014, aged 74. During his time running the business, Vern became a champion for the restoration of Rokeby Road buildings and shopfronts. He was heavily involved in the community and served as a City of Subiaco councillor from 1999 to 2003. The City of Subiaco named Hiddlestone Lane (which runs off Rokeby Rd) in honour of Vern in 2016. The business is now led by Vern’s daughter Natalie Hiddlestone.
