The Fremantle Biennale is a biennial festival of site-responsive contemporary art, held every two years in the Nyoongar season of Kambarang (November).
The Fremantle Biennale provides a platform for artist-led art and ideas, and is recognised for commissioning and presenting innovative and thought-provoking contemporary culture from Australia and the world.
Its largely free program engages diverse audiences and reveals, interrogates and celebrates the cultural, social and historical distinctiveness of the Fremantle region.
