Foodbank WA believes everyone should have access to healthy food. Its purpose is to Feed. Educate. Advocate.
Foodbank WA provides food and groceries to those who struggle to afford them, and also deliver nutrition education to promote healthy eating and advocate on behalf of people that experience food stress.
Foodbank WA works with farmers, wholesalers, manufacturers and retailers who donate and redirect surplus products to them. This also plays a vital role in tackling food waste and positively contributes to climate change by reducing CO2 emissions arising from landfill. To meet demand, Foodbank WA will also purchase essential food staples to ensure there is enough stock available.
In 2022, Foodbank WA was named Not For Profit/Charity of the Year at Business News’ RISE Business Awards.
