FMR Investments is an investment organisation with interests in the mining and mining related industries. The company was founded in 1989 by Peter Bartlett and was formerly known as Barminco Pty Ltd, originally trading as specialist underground mining contractors until it sold the contracting business, Barminco Limited to private equity firm Gresham in August 2007.
The mining interests of FMR Investments include the Gordon Sirdar mining tenements in Kalgoorlie, WA and at the Eloise Copper Mine in Queensland and Greenfields gold mill in Coolgardie.
According to reports from Kalgoorlie District Court proceedings in 2023, the gold miner's ownership then comprised of Mr Bartlett and his long-time business partner, the late, Ron Sayers, who controlled FMR on a 50:50 basis through an entity known as the FMR Unit Trust.
