GDI in $143m bid for Perth’s IKEA store
Sydney-based GDI Property Group has set its sights on Perth’s IKEA complex in a conditional deal worth $143.5 million.
Delarge Investments (formerly LEX Property Management) is a Western Australian based property investment and management group owned by Alan Tribe. Mr Tribe's business Cebas owned the Perth and Adelaide IKEA francises, while the managed investment scheme Lex Property Fund formerly owned the land on which IKEA Perth and Adelaide were located. It is understood Mr Tribe sold Cebas to IKEA Australia in early 2017 with IKEA at the time also in the process of acquiring the freehold land. Lex Property Fund was wound up in 2018. Related company Australian Land Pty Ltd is jointly owned by Mr Tribe and his wife Marisa Tribe.
