Alan Tribe is a Perth-based investor and company director who has held interests in resources, retailing and technology. His background is in the accounting profession in the UK and Australia. He was executive chairman of Fremantle-based marine technology company Nautronix, which expanded into the US, UK and Singapore under his leadership before being acquired for $42 million in 2002. He held the WA and SA franchises for IKEA through his company Cebas, before selling out in 2017 for a reported $170 million. The Lex Property Fund, of which he was a director, subsequently sold the freehold for the IKEA properties for about $143 million. It has been reported Mr Tribe also owns Jasons Windows. He joined the board of Perth-based biotech PYC Therapeutics in 2018 and has become a major shareholder.
