Craveable Brands (formerly Quick Service Restaurant Holdings) is wholly Australian owned and is home to three iconic Australian chicken brands - Red Rooster, Chicken Treat, and Oporto.
While the QSRH Group was formed in 2007, the three brands have have a much longer history (Red Rooster was established in Kelmscott, WA in 1972) and employ more than 18,000 people in its restaurants. At the start of 2015 the group had approximately 600 restaurants located across Australia and New Zealand.
The combination of the Red Rooster, Chicken Treat and Oporto brands provides a very strong, diversified quick service restaurant network across Australia. The three businesses represent complementary brands, geography, customer demographics and growth profiles.
Today 80 per cent of QSRH is under franchise operation which is a significant change from 2007 when the Group had a majority of corporate store operations (78 per cent).
The group was purchased in 2011 by private equity player Archer Capital, with the key driver of the business to that point, Frank Romano, selling out his 15 per cent stake as part of the deal.
