Communicare is a Western Australian not-for-profit organisation focused on helping create better futures for individuals, families and communities. Communicare advocates for social and economic inclusion, empower people to participate in their communities, and provide innovative services to communities across Australia.
Communicare was founded in 1977, initially offering services such as marriage counselling, financial assistance and school holiday programs.
In 1982 Communicare opened a larger premises at the South Bentley Hall. The 1990s saw Communicare grow from a small community charity organisation to a multi-faceted service provider whilst still holding true to its original goal of 'local people, helping local people'.
In 2010, Communicare acquired InnerSkill, a not-for-profit organisation operating out of Sydney, and became a national organisation focused on leading the way in support services to the whole Australian Community.
In 2020, Communicare acquired family-domestic-violence charity White Ribbon Australia.
