Carnarvon Christian School began in January 1995 with one teacher and 17 students from all seven primary grades. After some difficulties and setbacks during the first 18 months, the school slowly grew. The School was fortunate in 1997 to gain Federal funding in addition to the State funding.
In 2004, the school became part of the Swan Christian Education Association while still maintaining its autonomy and independence. The school does not promote particular denominations, but is administered by a Board of men and women from all denominations committed to a Christ-centred education.
