Captain Cook Cruises was a WA river ferry and cruise operator. The company was formed in 1980, as a Boat Torque Cruises subsidiary operated separately to the Rottnest ferry service.
After the America’s Cup Defence in 1987, the company was put up for sale. Tony Baker and John Goodbody purchased the business under the name Vyscot Pty Ltd trading as Captain Cook Cruises. Later, in September 2002 Captain Cook Cruises purchased the entire upstream operation formally owned by Boat Torque Cruises.
In February 2016, Captain Cook Cruises was purchased by Adelaide-based Sealink Travel Group in a deal reportedly worth $12 million.
