CPC Engineering is a privately-owned engineering design, construction and maintenance company servicing the mining and infrastructure sectors. The business was established by Peter Bowman in 1970 with a small fabrication workshop in Kambalda. Mr Bowman continues as major shareholder and chair.
The business has grown substantially since Glen Weir joined as chief executive in 2003. It has seven workshops around the state, including in Kalgoorlie, Ravensthorpe and Esperance in WA’s south and Port Hedland and Karratha in the Pilbara, and about 300 staff.
CPC has worked for many of WA’s largest mining companies including IGO, Fortescue Metals Group, Evolution Mining and Talison Lihium. It has also undertaken major international projects for First Quantum Minerals, including the Balama graphite project in Mozambique, Enterprise copper nickel project in Zambia and Cobre Panama copper project in Panama.
